New Reekie - Amorphophallus titanum

Profile portrait of New Reekie. At 267cm tall, this is amongst the largest and most impressive flowers in the world. Amorphophallus titanum translates as giant misshappen penis. In its native Sumatra it is known as bunga bangkai (corpse flower) due to the stench of rotten meat that it exudes during flowering.
