Peat drying

Peat has been harvested from the bogs of the Highlands for centuries and continues today. Cut from the peat bog, and stacked to dry out, it is then used as a fuel for the fire (and has done so traditionally as the fuel source for crofts for centuries). Sandwiched in the background between the stacks of peat cuttings is the iconic rock pinnacle; the Old Man of Storr.
